PLAY Connect is operated by PLAY Connect Technologies LLC, a Florida limited liability company doing business as PLAY Connect ("we," "us"). We provide community software to homeowner, condominium and residential associations and their management companies (the "Services"). This policy explains what we collect, why, who sees it, and the choices you have. It covers three kinds of people: visitors to our website, buyers — board members, managers and lifestyle staff who evaluate or purchase the Services — and residents who use a community portal we run.
Information we collect
From visitors and buyers
- Demo and quote requests — your name, work email, phone number, role, community name, location, approximate number of homes, amenities, and the plan you choose.
- Text-message consent — if you tick the SMS box on a quote, we store the exact wording you agreed to, the time, and your IP address so consent can be shown later. The box is never pre-ticked and never required.
- Contact form — whatever you type, plus your email so we can reply.
- Payments — card numbers go directly to Stripe and are never stored on our servers. We keep the subscription, invoice and receipt records Stripe returns to us.
- Technical logs — IP address, browser type and pages requested, kept for security and troubleshooting.
From communities
- Roster — the community uploads a resident list (typically name, email, unit or address) so residents can be verified. Uploading it again updates records; it never creates duplicates.
- Booking and registration records — amenity reservations and paid class or event registrations, including the payment reference. These belong to the community; we process them on its behalf. If a community separately elects the dues or compliance modules, those records are held the same way.
From residents
- Profile — the interests you pick, skill level, when you are usually free, and who is in your household. A photo is optional.
- Activity — Link-Ups you create or join, events you register for, matches you act on, and messages you send inside the portal.
- Visibility choice — whether your profile can be seen by verified neighbors. It is off until you turn it on.
How we use it
- To build your community's demo and quote, and to follow up on them.
- To run the community portal: verify residents, match neighbors, host Link-Ups and messaging, and send service messages such as confirmations and reminders.
- To produce the board's Resident Interest Report. The report shows counts and percentages, never which resident said what. It contains no names, emails, phone numbers, addresses or message content.
- To process payments, prevent fraud, and keep the Services secure.
- To improve the Services using aggregate, de-identified usage data.
What we never do
- We do not sell personal information.
- We do not share personal information with advertisers.
- We do not show a resident's profile to anyone unless that resident turned visibility on, and then only to verified neighbors in the same community.
- We do not reveal phone numbers or email addresses between residents. Messaging stays inside the portal.
- We do not give boards or managers per-resident survey answers, match lists, or message content.
- We do not take a percentage of dues, event fees or registrations; payments route to the community's or vendor's own account.
Who we share it with
Your community. Boards and managers see the operations records that belong to their community (roster, dues, violations, reservations, registrations) and the aggregate Resident Interest Report described above.
Service providers that process data for us under contract: Stripe (payments), Resend (email delivery), Twilio (text messages), Netlify (website hosting and forms), DigitalOcean (application hosting), and Calendly (demo scheduling). Each receives only what it needs to do its job.
Play Academy. When a community also hires Play Academy to staff programming, we share the community's programming demand and registrations with that team so the programs can be delivered. We do not share resident profiles or messages.
Legal. We disclose information when the law requires it or to protect the safety of residents, communities or the Services.
Your choices and rights
- Residents can edit their profile, change their interests, turn visibility off, leave any Link-Up, and delete their account from the portal at any time. A community can also mark a resident as moved out, which removes them from matching and reports.
- Buyers can ask us to delete a demo or quote by emailing the address below. Text messages stop when you reply STOP.
- Everyone can ask what we hold about them, ask for corrections, or ask for deletion. We answer within 30 days. Records we must keep by law (for example, payment records) are retained for the required period and then removed.
- Residents of California and other states with privacy laws have the rights those laws provide; use the contact below to exercise them. We do not discriminate against anyone for doing so.
Children
Portal accounts are for adults 18 and over. Parents and guardians register children in their household for programs. We do not knowingly collect information directly from anyone under 18.
Security and retention
Connections are encrypted (HTTPS). Passwords and access keys are hashed. Board and community links are secret tokens that can be revoked. Resident analytics are stored without names, emails or phone numbers by design. We keep information while a community's subscription is active and for as long afterward as the law requires, then delete or de-identify it.
Changes
If we change this policy in a way that matters, we will post the new version here with a new effective date and, for active communities, tell the board by email.
