PLAY Connect

About

Built by people who've been in the clubhouse.

Most community software is written by people who have never watched a board argue about a pickleball court. We have. That's the whole reason PLAY Connect exists.

Where it came from

The question nobody could answer.

For years, the team behind PLAY Connect has run recreation programming inside residential communities — tennis and pickleball instruction, summer camps, fitness and yoga, swim lessons, event staffing — through Play Academy, across roughly forty client communities in thirteen states.

In every one of those communities, the same conversation happened at the board table. Should we fund this? Is anyone going to show up? Why are we still paying for that? And in every one, the honest answer was: nobody knows. The board was guessing. The lifestyle director was guessing. The only data was who complained loudest.

So we built the thing that answers it. A survey residents will actually finish, shaped around the amenities their community actually has. A report that tells the board what to fund, keep and cut, with the count of residents behind each line. Neighbors matched on what they share. And a path from "residents keep organizing this themselves" to "the board made it a real program."

Then we added the operations — dues, violations, reservations, registrations — because a community shouldn't need two portals, and because every dollar should route to the community's own account rather than through a platform taking a percentage.

What makes it different

Software that recommends, and a team that delivers.

The loop

Residents → board → delivered

Every other platform stops at the report, if it gets that far. When a PLAY Connect board funds something, Play Academy can staff and run it. Recommendation and delivery, same team.

Published, flat pricing

One rate per community by size, posted publicly. No per-door creep, no "discuss pricing," no surprise at renewal.

No cut of your money

Dues, event fees and registrations route to the community's or vendor's own account. PLAY takes nothing from any of it — verified in the code, not just promised.

The family

Three organizations, one idea.

Play Academy runs the programming — certified coaches and instructors in residential communities across thirteen states.

PLAY Connect is the software — the survey, the report, the matching, and the operations suite. Sold on its own, to any community, whether or not Play Academy runs programming there.

Play Academy Foundation is the nonprofit — youth wellness, the PLAY Standard, and coaches who see every kid.

You can buy PLAY Connect without ever working with the other two. But when your board decides to fund something, it's useful to know that delivery is one phone call away.

Talk to a person.

Board questions, portfolio pricing, or just "does this make sense for us" — we answer the phone.
